Terms of Service for Spidrweb’s WPaaS (WordPress as a Service)
Effective Date: 14th Feb 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Spidrweb’s WordPress as a Service (“WPaaS”) offering. By subscribing to and using our WPaaS, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Overview
Spidrweb WPaaS provides a managed WordPress hosting solution, including server maintenance, security updates, backups, and technical support. The service is intended for websites hosted on our infrastructure.
2. Subscription & Payment
- WPaaS is offered on a subscription basis, with pricing and payment terms outlined during signup.
- Payments are due in advance and billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of services.
3. Account & Security
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
- Spidrweb implements security measures, but users must take reasonable steps to secure their own accounts.
- Any security breaches should be reported to Spidrweb immediately.
4. Data & Backups
- Spidrweb performs regular backups; however, users are encouraged to maintain their own backups.
- We are not liable for data loss due to unforeseen events, including hardware failure or cyberattacks.
5. Acceptable Use
- Users must comply with all applicable laws and avoid any activities that compromise the service, including but not limited to:
- Hosting illegal content
- Engaging in spam or malicious activities
- Using excessive server resources that negatively impact other users
- Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination.
6. Support & Maintenance
- Spidrweb provides technical support through designated channels.
- Core WordPress updates, security patches, and server maintenance are handled by Spidrweb depending on level of your package.
- Custom development and third-party plugin issues are outside the scope of our support but may be available at additional cost depending on your package.
7. Service Availability & SLA
- We strive for 99.99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance.
- Spidrweb is not responsible for downtime caused by third-party software or external factors beyond our control.
8. Termination & Cancellation
- Users may cancel their subscription at any time; refunds are not provided for unused service periods.
- Spidrweb reserves the right to terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
- Upon termination, access to WPaaS will be revoked, and stored data may be deleted after a grace period.
9. Liability & Disclaimers
- Spidrweb is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service use.
- The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Users assume full responsibility for the use of third-party plugins and themes.
10. Modifications to Terms
- Spidrweb may update these Terms at any time, with notice provided via email or website announcements.
- Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
- Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation or, if necessary, legal proceedings in UK courts.
